Io-Tahoe To Demonstrate AI-Driven Data Discovery and Catalog at TDWI Orlando Conference

TDWI researchers see artificial intelligence as enabling “more efficient and relevant data discovery”

ORLANDO, November 12, 2018 – Io-Tahoe, a pioneer in artificial intelligence (AI)-driven data discovery and catalog products, announced its sponsorship of the TDWI Orlando Conference, being held this week at the Walt Disney World® Swan Resort. Attendees can learn more about Io-Tahoe at booth 402.

As part of the conference, Io-Tahoe will sponsor an exclusive demonstration of its data discovery and catalog software on Wednesday, November 14th from 1:25 – 1:40pm in the Exhibit Hall – demo theater. Io-Tahoe’s automated data catalog enables data and business professionals to easily create, maintain and search a business glossary of data sources and critical data relationships identified through Io-Tahoe’s relationship discovery. Population of the data catalog is automated by using artificial intelligence and leveraging the discovery functionality and natural language analysis to automatically tag data. This automation facilitates smarter crowd sourcing allowing data owners, stewards and subject matter experts to define and govern multiple data rules.

Enterprises are increasingly recognizing the importance of automated data catalogs to help achieve business value.” Bhadmus noted that a separate day-long seminar devoted to AI will be conducted at the TDWI Orlando Conference.

TDWI research director David Stodder has written on this topic, saying that AI can provide a broader view of both traditional and new data sources. He says the more data AI enables users to work with, the more efficient they will be with data discovery. Stodder adds that AI gives workers the ability to ask new types of questions and explore new perspectives – – without IT’s help.  In a report issued in late September1, Stodder writes that “thanks to the power of [massively parallel processing] systems and techniques including machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing, organizations can discover patterns and other insights hidden in sometimes billions of data points with less human intervention and greater speed and efficiency.”
